Welcome to julietlee.com, the official site for Juliet Lee, the world's number one competitive eating Mom and currently tenth ranked eater (and record holder) in the world. Winner of Major League Eating's 2008 Rookie of the Year award.
By way of history, I'm originally from the northern part of China near the ocean, which probably explains my love of seafood. I graduated from the University of Nanjing with a degree in Geology and later taught Chemistry there. After coming to the United States and obtaining my citizenship, I decided to open my own business. I now have a successful hair design studio in Germantown, Maryland. I'm married with two bright and wonderful kids that you'll likely meet at one of the contests — they're my biggest fans.
My first professional competitive eating contest was the Tropicana World Meatball Eating Championship in Atlantic City, NJ in December 2006. I'd won an amateur contest a few months before, and wanted to see how I could do against the best in the world. While I didn't win, I enjoyed the competition and met some wonderful people.
As I've said, this web site is a work in progress. I plan to do more with it as I go on, but please enjoy and feel free to contact me with your ideas and suggestions.
